I absolutely love the Art of Dentistry! I have been coming here since I retired from the Navy in 2009 and my son went here his entire life until he got his own insurance. They are wonderful, friendly, thorough and professional. Oh, and punctual!! I had an appt yesterday and my hygienist apologized for being late (she was 2 min late for our appt!). I would highly recommend this establishment.

Dr. Horwitz and Dr. Dorfman are fantastic dentists and I strongly recommend them, especially for anyone with sensitive teeth. Ms George is my dental hygienist and she is equally fantastic and together they make great team! Short wait time. They have a crown making machine and were able to make my bicuspid crown in 20 mins. I was able to see Darren Dorfman DDS and he told me what was possible. Within 2 hours I had a new crown. Amazing!

First off, check in was easy, wait time was next to nil and the services provided to me were exceptional. I have visited the dentistry on 4 occasions the past year, 2 exams, one cleaning, a molar extraction with bone graft and a follow up exam. I’ve waited until now to provide a review. The administrators, hygienists, equipment technicians and dentists have all been very professional and the results have mirrored the professionalism. I’m super satisfied with this office and all its staff.

I saw Abby, the Dental Hygienist, for a checkup. It is always nice visiting with her. Dr Horwitz was actually there, but said he was part-time and going to be retiring soon. I will miss him! He has been the best over the many years! I will be seeing Dr Shuck on my next visit and look forward to meeting him. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs a great dentist!

I had a horrible toothache last week, and I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Shuck. He was so nice and made me feel like the only patient he had in the office, though I could tell that they were very busy. Dr. Shuck explained that I had an abscessed tooth that would need a root canal, and he referred me to a specialist. I will be getting the rest of my treatment done by Dr. Shuck! I had a lot of questions for him, but he was kind and patient with me. He answered all of my questions and gave me a prescription for antibiotics. I feel like I have finally found the dentist that I’ve been looking for! Five stars for the five star treatment!!!

This practice is second to none. Their facility is state of the art, the staff is as friendly as they are skilled, and they are always attentive to my dental needs. During my last cleaning, I mentioned that it felt like I had a bony growth on the inside of my jaw to the hygienist. Next thing I know, Dr. Shuck made time to come do a full exam and deal with it. Best dentist ever!!Having bad luck with dentists and moving around a lot I had the pleasure of coming across Dr.Dorfman and his staff in 2015, in addition to pleasant service I decided to have a large cosmetic procedure done and it was well worth it.Dr.Dorfman changed my life!, and changed it for the better, Jenny , my hygienist is also beyond skilled and good at her job, helps that she loves it so much.I’m writing this as I visit Virginia Beach, I have driven up from Florida and made it a point to schedule a cleaning and this time living in Vermont I literally flew down just to see Dr.Forman for a repair and cleaning as I don’t trust the quality and care of other dentists.Beyond words how awesome this team is.Thank you!!!

I didn’t have a dentist so I called their practice because I was experiencing pain in my back tooth. The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating. I was able to get an appointment the next day. Everyone there has amazing customer service. The dentist does a great job as well. The entire staff is very knowledgeable and available to help you. I like that there are no hidden fees when it comes time for payment either. They have a long term customer.

Absolutely love coming here. My regularly dental hygienist is so sweet and listens to my comments and concerns with my teeth. And they office really try’s to make everything convenient for the clients. I need a cavity filled and they were able to make my 6 month cleaning and filling back to back on the same day. This is really worth the drive for me to stick with them.

I was a patient of Dr. Horwitz for as long as I can remember. I have also seen Dr. Dorfman a few times. My dental hygienist, Lissi, was always a joy to see. The Art of Dentistry team is so friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. I recently moved to NY, so I unfortunately had to get a new dentist, as it was not reasonable to drive 8 hours for an appointment. My new dentist was so pleased to see how detailed my history was at The Art of Dentistry and to see the amazing service they've provided me over the past several years. WOW, just WOW, never thought that I would look forward to Dentistry visits but Dr D and all staff was/is efficient yet gentle throughout the entire procedure(s) including billing. Since I am terrified by syringes, I insisted upon no local anesthetic. They initially questioned that decision but agreed to proceed with caution. The procedure was not painless BUT was amazingly tolerable. Wow, these folks are great at what they do and I am very greatful and happy to have found them. I highly recommend them to any and all looking to improve their dental health. 10 stars if I could, thank you.....much love!

I have always had a great experience with the staff at the Art of Dentistry. Personally I see Dorfman as does the rest of my family. He is great with adults and children. He is professional and is great with patient interaction. I also have had no problems with the staff in the office. My hygienist is great, and all of the front office staff have been accommodating and helpful as well. I also appreciate all of the extra measures they are taking during this pandemic to ensure patients are safe.

My hygienist (Sara Jeffers) is always prompt, thorough, and takes time to share with me any condition she runs across during the procedure. Went for my regular cleaning appointment with Jenny Ross. I had another good checkup and cleaning Tuesday. I am now on cleanings every 4 months instead of every 3 months because I am using my electric toothbrush twice everyday for at least 2 minutes each time. Jenny always gives me good feedback on how well I am brushing, flossing, water picking and gargling. Thanks for taking good care of my teeth for the last 18 years.

I saw Abby, the Dental Hygienist, for a checkup. It is always nice visiting with her. Dr Horwitz was actually there, but said he was part-time and going to be retiring soon. I will miss him! He has been the best over the many years! I will be seeing Dr Shuck on my next visit and look forward to meeting him. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs a great dentist!

I had a horrible toothache last week, and I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Shuck. He was so nice and made me feel like the only patient he had in the office, though I could tell that they were very busy. Dr. Shuck explained that I had an abscessed tooth that would need a root canal, and he referred me to a specialist. I will be getting the rest of my treatment done by Dr. Shuck! I had a lot of questions for him, but he was kind and patient with me. He answered all of my questions and gave me a prescription for antibiotics. I feel like I have finally found the dentist that I’ve been looking for! Five stars for the five star treatment!!!

Dr. Dorfman and his staff are the best. My son had two cavities filled yesterday. He was really nervous and apprehensive. They reassured him and fixed him right up. Our while family goes to the Art of Dentistry- the hygienists are the best. They are great for both kids and adults! Highly recommend!

This practice is second to none. Their facility is state of the art, the staff is as friendly as they are skilled, and they are always attentive to my dental needs. During my last cleaning, I mentioned that it felt like I had a bony growth on the inside of my jaw to the hygienist. Next thing I know, Dr. Shuck made time to come do a full exam and deal with it. World class.

Drs Horwitz, Dorfman and Shuck always treat their patients with kindness, compassion and respect. Their staff is knowledgeable and efficient. I am a fearful dental patient and Dr Dorfman does a wonderful job putting me at ease. I’m usually on a tight schedule & can count on being seen on time. They have all the modern technology! No more oooey goooey impressions or sharp edged X-ray films. It’s all digital now. They even do Invisalign and cosmetic work. This office can meet your entire family’s dental needs.

Best dentist ever!!Having bad luck with dentists and moving around a lot I had the pleasure of coming across Dr.Dorfman and his staff in 2015, in addition to pleasant service I decided to have a large cosmetic procedure done and it was well worth it.Dr.Dorfman changed my life!, and changed it for the better, Jenny , my hygienist is also beyond skilled and good at her job, helps that she loves it so much.I’m writing this as I visit Virginia Beach, I have driven up from Florida and made it a point to schedule a cleaning and this time living in Vermont I literally flew down just to see Dr.Forman for a repair and cleaning as I don’t trust the quality and care of other dentists.Beyond words how awesome this team is.Thank you!!!

I didn’t have a dentist so I called their practice because I was experiencing pain in my back tooth. The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating. I was able to get an appointment the next day. Everyone there has amazing customer service. The dentist does a great job as well. The entire staff is very knowledgeable and available to help you. I like that there are no hidden fees when it comes time for payment either. They have a long term customer.

I have been going to The Art of Dentistry for over half my life and I’m still beyond impressed with the practice and the service I receive each time. Jenny is amazing, so kind and thorough, while also providing the best service. The office staff are professional and courteous, and incredibly patient. I don’t know where to Start... I was beginning to think Good Customer Service was a thing of the Past UNTIL I EXPERIENCED THE MOST WONDERFUL Service with this Group!!!!! If I could give them 10 Stars ⭐️ I MOST DEFINITELY WOULD! The level of Professionalism was TOPS and might I say once Again VERY REFRESHING to experience in this day and age. I was referred to the Art of Dentistry... feeling like my Previous practice was more about the up sell than my needs. Absolutely love coming here. My regularly dental hygienist is so sweet and listens to my comments and concerns with my teeth. And they office really try’s to make everything convenient for the clients. I need a cavity filled and they were able to make my 6 month cleaning and filling back to back on the same day. This is really worth the drive for me to stick with them.

I was a patient of Dr. Horwitz for as long as I can remember. I have also seen Dr. Dorfman a few times. My dental hygienist, Lissi, was always a joy to see. The Art of Dentistry team is so friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. I recently moved to NY, so I unfortunately had to get a new dentist, as it was not reasonable to drive 8 hours for an appointment. My new dentist was so pleased to see how detailed my history was at The Art of Dentistry and to see the amazing service they've provided me over the past several years. I couldn't recommend The Art of Dentistry enough!

WOW, just WOW, never thought that I would look forward to Dentistry visits but Dr D and all staff was/is efficient yet gentle throughout the entire procedure(s) including billing. Since I am terrified by syringes, I insisted upon no local anesthetic. They initially questioned that decision but agreed to proceed with caution. The procedure was not painless BUT was amazingly tolerable. Wow, these folks are great at what they do and I am very greatful and happy to have found them. I highly recommend them to any and all looking to improve their dental health. 10 stars if I could, thank you.....much love!

I have always had a great experience with the staff at the Art of Dentistry. Personally I see Dorfman as does the rest of my family. He is great with adults and children. He is professional and is great with patient interaction. I also have had no problems with the staff in the office. My hygienist is great, and all of the front office staff have been accommodating and helpful as well. I also appreciate all of the extra measures they are taking during this pandemic to ensure patients are safe.

I have always had a good experience here. Thus far, I only have to go in for my six month prophylaxis. My hygienist (Sara Jeffers) is always prompt, thorough, and takes time to share with me any condition she runs across during the procedure. Dr. Dorfman never fails to disappoint with his explanations which are concise and in layman's terms. Highly recommend this team.

Best dentist in Hampton Roads! The people are all great, very friendly and helpful. Dr Horwitz always has a great, positive attitude and explains everything he is doing. He is always very careful to make sure you are as comfortable as possible. The technicians and office staff operate the same way. I wouldn't go to anyone else.

I am very pleased with the office of Dr. Abbey Horwitz. It is a very professional & clean environment. The dentist's are both exceptional. The staff are also very professional and friendly. The atmosphere is very positive. It seems they are all happy with their jobs and all get along well. This was not the first dental office I tried because I am extremely picky when it comes to my dental care. I highly recommend Dr. Abbey Horwitz!

Went for my regular cleaning appointment with Jenny Ross. I had another good checkup and cleaning Tuesday. I am now on cleanings every 4 months instead of every 3 months because I am using my electric toothbrush twice everyday for at least 2 minutes each time. Jenny always gives me good feedback on how well I am brushing, flossing, water picking and gargling. Thanks for taking good care of my teeth for the last 18 years.
