Hello! My name is Debby Knauer, and I have been a part of The Art of Dentistry VB team for over 10 years. As one of our six outstanding dental hygienists, I am truly grateful to work alongside such a dedicated team. Although working in the dental field wasn’t my childhood dream, I feel incredibly fortunate to have chosen this career.
A Journey in Dentistry
My journey in dentistry began over 20 years ago as a dental assistant. After two years, my employer encouraged me to advance my career. Following his advice, I returned to school and eventually enrolled in the dental hygiene program at Old Dominion University. I graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene.
Why This Practice Feels Like Home
Over the years, I’ve worked in several excellent dental practices, but The Art of Dentistry VB holds a special place in my heart. Our entire team, both clinical and administrative, understands that our success depends on our patients’ satisfaction. That’s why we strive to exceed expectations in everything we do.
More Than Just a Job
While educating and helping my patients maintain their healthy smiles is a significant part of my role, it’s so much more than that. My goal is to treat each patient as I would like to be treated and to instill confidence in their dental care.
Building Connections
I genuinely look forward to seeing my patients every day and catching up on what’s new in their lives. It’s rewarding to ask about their families and receive the same in return. It’s also a great compliment when patients refer their family and friends to us because of their positive experiences.
